Sweet Cindy as she is know around the barn. She adds a bit of Holsteiner jumping influence through the valuable Calypso I blood. Cindy was born in 1998, and is by the stallion Certus. Certus is an Oldenburg stallion by Carprilli (Calypso I) , who showcases his talent in both the dressage and jumper rings. Certus descends from Ninette, who is the dam of the monumental Donnerhall. He completed his performance testing in 1995 where he received a 134.28 in dressage and a 118.42 in jumping for an overall 131.02 (2nd place). On the dam side, the sire Welfenschatz ( owned by the late Fritz Floto) is well noted for competing in Grand Prix show jumping. Welfenschatz’s sire, Walhall, competed in the dressage ring.
Cindy has produced offspring who excel in both the jumper and dressage ring, and are noted for their athletic ability and are very rideable. She has the strong hind end of a jumper, with the elegance of a dressage horse. We are thrilled with her gentle nature. She is a sweetheart in every sense....and when she moves in the pasture, she shows lots of knee action in the trot, a forward marching walk, and energetic canter.
Cindy's stutenstamn (damline) shows many successful jumper and dressage sport horses.
Cindy has had her final foal by Finest, and will be retired.
