Diamond Days - Diamond Hit / SPS Romancero / Wenzel / SPS Weltmeyer
Diamond Days is a 2010 Hanoverian mare by Diamond Hit out of SPS Rothara. Diamond Hit comes from top bloodlines. His sire, Don Schufro, was the Danish Dressage Champion in 2008 and Olympic Bronze Team Winner in Hong Kong (2008). Diamond Hit’s dam, Loretta, has also produced licensed stallions Sandro Hit and Royal Hit. Diamond Hit consistently produces top results in competitions. He qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games and has over 16 wins and placings at Grand Prix. In 2005, he was named the VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year. He has also had good success at the Bundeschampionate as well as his many offspring.
Daisy’s dam SPS Rothara was imported from Europe as a 3 year old. She had a very successful mare performance test with 8 in rideability, a 7.5 for trot, 8 for canter, and a 9 for walk. Rothara’s sire, Romancero H, won his stallion performance test in 2002. Romancero H is yet another Bundeschampionate participant and successful at FEI dressage. Rothara’s grand-dam SPS Wilsonara (Weltmeyer/Shogun xx) is several times "Siegerstute" at Mare Shows, as well as a Bundeschampionate Finalist. SPS Wilsonara also appears in the pedigree of Hemmingway by Hofrat who stands at Hilltop Farm Inc in Maryland.
Based on her pedigree and the success of her damline, Diamond Days is recipe for success. She is a beautiful mare with long legs and a strong yet compact build. She has a fantastic walk, and a super active trot and canter combined with a ‘nothing phases me’ temperament. Daisy shows lots of potential as a broodmare and a riding horse. She had her first foal in 2014, a true stallion prospect, by Hanoverian stallion Schwarzenegger. "Selkirk" shows a lot of potential with flowing movement and a very relaxed attitude. He has been sold to a dressage home in Maryland, USA.
Daisy completed her Mare Performance Test (MPT) in 2013, with less than 45 rides undersaddle. She had never been ridden with other horses, or been to a show environment, and she did phenomenally well. She scored a 7 & 7.5 for scope and technique in the jump chute (very good for a dressage bred mare!) She also scored an 8 on her head, which inspector, Dr. Ludwig Christmann, remarked was "...one of the prettiest heads he had ever seen!" Her walk received an 8. In 2014, we presented Daisy again, and she was Champion Mare!
Stallions from Daisy's Stutenstamm (mare line): Don Frederico (Donnerhall)(Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2012), Lanthan (Lombard), Hemmingway (Hofrat), Smart (Soliman de Hus)
