Well well well.  Chatting to you here in self-isolation.  Really enjoying life on the farm, and all the space and freedom we have here to escape to.  What a crazy time though.  We did not expect it to ever get to this level.  My massage business shut down last week, Cl...

Let's start off by saying, WHAT A YEAR!  Wow, two fillies in the TOP 10 in Canada, and

Flying High the Best Dressage Foal in ALL of Canada?!  I'm still in shock!  We never ever thought we would get a distinction such as this, and especially only 4 years into our breedin...

This year, after two seasons of hiring a big gooseneck trailer to haul the mares and foals to PEI, we finally invested in a bumper pull livestock trailer with 2 box stalls.  I am SO relieved, and excited, to have our own trailer, and not have to rely on others to trail...

Well, 2 out of 3 have arrived.  Daisy had an AMAZING Secret filly, named Sidera (pictured above with my son Everett)  She is built like a mini GP horse, and really resembles Secret.  We adore everything about her.  Fantastic cannot be beat temperament, and superb movem...

Holy, what a miserable winter.  Started in November, with super cold temps ... December and part of January were okay with good footing and reasonable temperatures.  Mid January and all February has plainly sucked.  10 cm's snow, then plus 5, 15-20ml's rain, then flash...

December 8, 2018

Wowee, what a trip!  Of course, I have the miserable, never ending head cold that made the trip a bit fuzzy for me ... but nonetheless it was awesome.

I flew into Montreal, was picked up by my Ontario friends at the airport and we headed cross border to Burlington...

Minus the never ending mud and rain that seems to be our fall this year (last year was GORGEOUS), the horses are all doing well.  Funny, on the rare sunny and warm day, they seem to breathe a sigh of relief and all lay down and soak up the sun.  After a dry summer, the...

September 6, 2018

Well, what a summer!  Hot hot hot with loads of humidity meant lots of baths and praying that embryo's stayed in place.  We are expecting a Fabregas x Fidertanz, a Secret x Diamond Hit and stay tuned to hear about our final pregnancy ....

We just returned from the...

Huge sigh of relief.  Daisy and Cindy both had two healthy foals, good foalings.  Cindy retained her placenta for 12 hours, had to manually massage it out ... and of course some pieces were stuck in her.  More flushes, and meds ... she seems healthy right now.  Hopeful...
