We are home!

Wowee, what a trip! Of course, I have the miserable, never ending head cold that made the trip a bit fuzzy for me ... but nonetheless it was awesome.

I flew into Montreal, was picked up by my Ontario friends at the airport and we headed cross border to Burlington Vermont. We then reached Eliza Rutherford's beautiful farm, and spent 2 days there due to wintery weather in Canada. My oh my, what a lovely spot. I would move to Vermont in a heat beat! Eliza has a super reputation for producing exceptional Hanoverian horses, and is a spectacular quiet rider. We were lucky enough to watch her ride and she treated us to an almost 'clinic' like experience. Such fabulous hospitality too.

We brought home Havannah (Hotline) and her mother, Elite Mare Safira (Sandro Hit). Safira is being leased by us, and we are so excited to have this opportunity, as Safira was trained to FEI levels, imported from Europe, had a top MPT, has produced 2 stallion prospects. She is a mare we would have never been able to afford for our program, and we are forever grateful. She will be bred early spring. Both Havannah and Safira have *amazing* temperaments. Literally they are SO easy to deal with. They trailed superbly, settled in right away, and are no trouble. Both are together in a separate field for a few weeks and then we will gradually introduce them to the others. We are just so thrilled!
