60 days & all looks good!

As breeders, you are tempted to check your pregnant mares anytime they do something funny. Did that nicker mean something different? Why is she rubbing her bum ... ugh has she lost the pregnancy. You are so tempted to call the vet or in my case, bring the ultrasound to the barn and go searching for the hopeful baby. We decided to check both Cindy and Daisy at around the 60 day mark to see if they were still pregnant, and to try to see the fetuses. Good news, both are still pregnant, and all looks good. Now the babies would not move into a position that we could tell what sex they are, but I am just happy to report that we still have two healthy babies!

Our new mare, Free to Be (Fidertanz/Don Bosco), will be arriving some time in October, and we are so excited! She is in foal to Fabregas (Florencio/De Niro), for the 3rd time. The two colts she had by Fabregas were Champions at their respective inspections in Ontario, and are doing incredibly well at in-hand shows in the US. And our lovely, bouncy, growing girl Serene (Schwarzenegger), is such a happy spirit. Growing well and so happy with life. She is looking for her person, and is for sale. Her topline and conformation is excellent, and she her neck is incredibly impressive. I am very impressed! Here are some pictures from this morning.
